Rainbow
Rope Routines
For a single child, a rope of any Rainbow colour chosen
by the child
will suffice.
Simple skipping for 5 minutes morning and afternoon is
all that is required.
The child can be encouraged to add more
interesting variations and use a different
coloured rope for each routine.
The aim is for each child to experience skipping
for up to five minutes
in a session to improve cardio-vascular functioning, muscle
tone and
eye hand co-ordination. For groups, single ropes of every colour can be distributed,
which makes for a colourful display when in action. Longer ropes for team games
and challenges
make for social interactions as well as exercise.
The aim is still for the 5
minute experience.
